 MARCH MAYHEM 2013 HOOP CITY CHAMPIONS | Who we areRock City (named from our city Rocky Mount, NC) is a 7th grade AAU basketball team. We are in our first year as RCT and are Coached by: Head Coach Zack Crandell, Assistant Coach Rodney Alston and Assistant Coach Marvin Hines. Together we strive to be the best TEAM we can be. WORK HARD, PLAY HARD - WIN Our Team10 players make up Rock City from Rocky Mount and surrounding cities. These young men have a passion to play and it shows on the court. How we started Latoya Powell of dream chasers sports inc had a vision of girls/boys who desired to learn and play the game of basketball at a competitive level. Our organization emphasizes the importance of education while offering an opportunity for some to play on the college level. Players from 10 to 15 years old girls and boys to prepare for high school ball. They are taught not only basketball but self esteem,self confidnence, and leadership skills while putting education first.

ABOUT US
Rock City Thunder is a non-profit youth Basketball Association that was established in 2012 for 7th grade young men. All players representing the Rock City Thunder are composed primarily of young men from Nash County representing various communities and schools. Our teams compete primarily in the Southeast in events sponsored by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), Youth Basketball of America (YBOA), the United States Basketball of America (USBA). We strive to teach our young men respect, honor and the ability to give life your all - on and off the court.
